    Hi all!

I'm back as a Taco owner, and I'm finally a member of the forums. I formerly owned a 2011 Pre-Runner DCSB 2.7L in Timberland Mica. That thing was a slug, but man was it reliable! I bought it as a CPO at 37k and drove it to 99k before parting ways, deciding I wanted something with more power. Low and behold, I had two vehicles including a 1st Gen Tundra with 192k and a TDI wagon commuter that was fun to drive but was in for warranty work more than a few times... no surprise. Frankly, having two cars was getting old, and I missed the reliability and practicality of my Tacoma.

So, I sold the TDI and traded in the old Tundra for a 2020 Midnight Black DCLB SR5 4x4 with a V6, and thus far I am loving it. The comfort of the 10-way seat plus the CarPlay are nice, and having a V6 and some power behind the truck make it an ideal vehicle for me. While I have a car payment again, I'm feeling more secure with the reliability of a new truck (my first ever new truck) and I don't have two insurance premiums to pay.

My SR5 was pretty much bone-stock, but that fit what I wanted as a payment and the features that I needed and felt were must haves were included (tow package, 4x4, V6, etc). The power seat and CarPlay were certainly bonuses, and I don't plan to do much beyond some gravel/dirt road driving to fishing holes. Stuff I could do no problem in my old PreRunner. I do tow a 16' welded aluminum boat (trailer boat and motor/gear = 1900 pounds) up to the lake every other weekend, and the new Taco will take care of that no problem.

A few additions I have made since buying it in late April.
    - OEM Mud Flaps Installed
    - OEM LED Bed Lights Installed
    - OEM Bed Mat
    - MESO Gasshole

Anyways, excited to learn more on the forums and maybe contribute in some way.

Welcome and nice new truck! I like how the sr5s come with black wheels and grill and everything now, looks way better than how my 17 TRD off road came. (Chrome grill, bumpers and wheels) also wishing I had those power seats

Mine does have the chrome bumper option, not color keyed, but I love the wheels and power seat. Another 2020 SR5 I looked at had the dark gray alloys in the same pattern and it seems as though it's a hoge-poge mix of black or gray wheels coming out of the factory this year? Anyone else notice that? Another local dealer had a 2020 Black SR5 with the dark gray wheels but it definitely doesn't look as clean as the black on black.

I was looking at a used 17 TRD OR, but the power seat and an odometer with only 6 miles for a similar price was too much to resist!
