Frankly I've never seen a plate bumper that I liked on the 1995.5 style grille, and this has me trying to track down the make on it. Trying to spend this stimulus check entirely on the Tacoma lol

I put my stimulus check into the "down payment on my first house" fund; Also with coronavirus pandemic, most of the pictures I post here will be snagged from the internet for the foreseeable future :(

Probably the same amount you'd get from that "Turbonator" intake insert thingy they were selling in car magazines like fifteen years ago...

My friend has a 2004 AC TRD OR 4x4 3.4L/5-speed, but she does not have a TW account. I took the truck for a spin today because, well, it's a 1st Gen stick shift Tacoma and my friend is all too happy to indulge me...

Anyway, she's only had the truck for about seven months or so (she inherited it from her late ex-husband). The truck presently has 143K miles on it and is 100% mechanically sound, but since she's owned it, the parking brake light stays on even when the handle is pushed all the way in. I am worried that the parking brake could be "on" slightly and causing the rear brakes to wear out. I am also OCD about having any warning lights on and my friend is the same way; The brake light will go out if you really push the handle in, but it comes back on almost instantly. Is there something within the mechanism that is not "catching" or something?

Also, on another note, the A/C in my friend's '04 is just like the A/C in my 2010; The A/C in both trucks blows ice cold, but the blower motor makes a virtually identical annoying noise!

If the brake pulls out more than 13-16 clicks it's time to adjust cable below driver seat. Check the spring and shoot Fluid Film all over the mechanism.

When you say below the drivers seat, are you referring to the mechanism that under the truck by the frame rail? Or is there something inside the cab to worry about adjusting?

I have the exact same issue.. I dealt with my OCD by jacking the rear end up and spinning the tires to make sure they were free lol, it's a 22year old truck I figured it was required to have phantom lights/lights that don't work in the dash
