Not much here man. Just finishing up studying for GCP ACE exam... Hope to take it in 1-2 weeks. Getting ready to start the GCP PCA studying after. I'll be certed in all 3 cloud at varying levels then woot!!

We're doing great. Went camping this past weekend.

 

Very nice! I was studying for the RHCE8 but when RH decided to put exams on hold my boss told me to switch to the LFCSA and the CKA. I have until the end of June to pass them. The LFCSA is super easy and was going to take the exam until my job decided to make some mandatory training due at the end of April and then another at the end of May. Thankfully I'm almost done so I can switch focus again and complete these MBO's and get paid.

Can the GCP ACE be taken remotely? How hard are the objectives? Youre missing a fourth cloud Big Blue

You can take it remotely but they are pretty intrusive with the wants. I hope to go to the same testing center since I'm batting 1000 there on certs, 3 for 3, and it's empty usually. As for objectives, it's got a decent amount of content you need to be good with, and a lot is command line driven with their Linux cloud shell. It makes sense to me and you can see what they do diff from AWS to differentiate. GCP has been my favorite to study and work on of the big 3.

There is also OCI for another "cloud" but so far, I haven't run into any customers on it or asking about em. In reality, I don't like MS's cloud so for me there is only 2 I would use or recommend.

Good to know about the GCP exam. Sounds like youre going to ACE ( ) that exam. I am a fan of GCP way more than AWS but it's a pain getting clients off either when theyre embedded into their services. Thats why I always push Open Source and Red Hat. Each of the big 3 uses OCP which makes my job way easier when you need to sell managed services and they are locked into a cloud.

Yea OCI isnt very relevant from what I understand. I usually get clients that want to migrate off of it. MS's cloud isnt too bad and I'd rank it as #2 for me behind GCP then AWS.
