buddy of mine at work has a friend who is selling his tacoma wheels and tires, these wheels went on a 2WD tacoma and mines a 2.7L 4WD, it has those universal lug holes where it has like 10 lug holes so itll go on my truck but the hub on mine is to big obviously and these are REALLY nice wheels and tires and he only wants $700 for them, so i figured id need some wheel spacers. i looked around and i found this website that says the factory wheel hub on a 2.7L 4WD tacoma is 106.1mm (idk if the .1 really means anything but thats what it said) and i found some spacers that are 106mm hub centric is there anything im missing? these spacers are 1.5" so idk if thats overkill or if its not gonna get past the hub enough to fit these wheels on

site i used to find the hub size: spacers i was wanting: https://www.amazon.com/Spacers-KSP-...-4207--8-1---2&vehicleName=2003+Toyota+Tacoma

Are you seriously wanting to put wheels and tires from a 5 lug on to your 4wd?

    Dude. Don't.

its not a 5 wheel lug set up, its got like 10 lug holes or something around there, whats the problem with it coming off of a 5 lug vehicle? it can fit 5 or 6 lug wheels

Whenever I see people with universal lugs I wonder who hurt them so bad they had to make that awful choice.

yea you guys all keep saying universal lugs are bad, and the wheels coming from a 2WD tacoma is bad, no one has yet given me an aswer as to why this wouldnt work and so far everything ive looked at, it WOULD work without any issues, wheels are wheels and if it can fit, why not? never said i was gonna go off-roading or overlanding in them just needed an upgrade

Check tire sizes for what's coming off the 2wd. 4wd usually has 30 or 31" tires stock, and the 2wd has much smaller. It'll make your truck lower and mess your speedometer if they're smaller. I get wanting nice wheels and tires but I seriously doubt that itd be a good fit.

Lol yes wheel adaptors will work as long as the bolt pattern and all that lines up. 5 lug bolt pattern is 5x4.5. no idea if it needs to be hub centric or what so be sure to look that up. If u take the truck offroad at all, remove the adaptors after each time and clean them bc ive heard of em fusing on if u dont keep up with that.

People on TW will always tell u WHAT to do on here. But not whether u CAN or HOW. Yes u can do the wheel adaptors and go to 5 lug for that deal for wheels. Be sure to clean them like i said and the bolt pattern and all lines up. Have fun building ur truck

Do you realize that it's not just counting the lug nuts, but those lug nuts sit on different diameters. The website you linked to shows the 5 lugs sit on a 5x114.3mm (4.5") and the 6 lugs are 6x139.7mm (5.5").

Those spacers you linked to won't work anyway, no matter how you slice it. Doesn't matter how many holes it has. The only way to convert from one bolt patter to another is a completely different type of spacer. A two piece design:

These are NOT what you'd need, but this is the type I'm talking about.
    https://www.amazon.com/Wheel-Adapter-Lug-5-5-135mm/dp/B008L5JCQE

Most people here are adverse to spacers of any kind. They are, at best, band-aid fixes, and they introduce additional points of failure that just aren't necessary.

Look, you're wanting to put wheels and tires from a 2wd 5 lug truck onto your 6 lug 4x4. Are you going for this kind of look?

I think he has something like these.

Which if thats the case it wont fit a 6 lug pattern anywho. And also, those universal wheels just look like something a highschooler would put on his lowered Honda Civic.

I think they look more like something a highschooler might design.
