I drop my skids and do the transfer case at the same time.

I dropped my front skids and completely forgot about the t case. I even ordered enough for that and the wife’s 120k service.

It was hot in a rough parking lot and I’m on 2 hours of sleep, I’ll take what I can get

You still accomplished a lot. My skids I can leave the front on to pull off the back 2 to get the the transfer case. I would expect yours to work the same so at least you hopefully dont have to do any extra work.

The wife and I decided to make a road trip out of a family Thanksgiving at my sister's in Albuquerque. I'm excited to go back and explore more of the canyon, but the drive there was monotonous.

We arrived right as the sun was starting to set.

She made me get a photo because 'I'm never in any of them'.

Potatoes are a camping staple for us.
    IMG_4691.jpg

Steak, sausage, potatoes, and veggies for dinner! :hungry:
    IMG_4717.jpg

Dinner finished up just in time for us to catch a beautiful sunset over the ridge.
    IMG_4703.jpg

The temperature also dropped to 30 degrees overnight and the wind kept the floor of the tent freezing cold. I'll need to look into some sort of insulated mat for winter camping.
    IMG_4731.jpg

I snagged one more shot of this babe before heading out.
    IMG_4740.jpg

The drive from Amarillo to Albuquerque is a rough one for the 3rd gen. with stock gears. It's a slight uphill grade the entire way, so gear hunting at 3500 rpms became the norm. There's also a high wind area on the same stretch just after you enter New Mexico, making it that much more difficult (with the tent acting like a sail). We finally made it to her place at the base of Sandia Peak.

The snow really came down two days later, fairly surprising for the time of year.
    IMG_4788.jpg

One of my nephews started a snowball fight and she took his side.

    :curls::muscleflexing:

    IMG_4793.jpg

We enjoyed the snow for the two days it was there, but it quickly melted before we left.
    IMG_4801.jpg

I love a good grainy black and white photo!
    IMG_4829.jpg

It took us 10 hours to drive straight home, but this was a trip for the books!

Nice pics. The Amarillo to Albuquerque is never fun. I've done it a bunch and hate it every time.
