Ok I might regret this but here it goes...

I can get a b*tchin' deal on some Fox suspension (brand new) that I've been looking at for a few weeks so I am not interested in other suspension setups. What I would get would be Factory 2.5 with reservoir front (0-3") with JBA UCAs. For the rear I would go Performance 2.0 with reservoir (0-1.5") and, maybe, a single leaf Deaver AAL. Overall close to a 2/1 lift with a little rake.

What I have: 2017 TRD Sport 4x4 (no other performance upgrades or bumpers, RTT, sliders, etc)
What I do: Carry heavy (500+ lbs) loads 1-2 times a month in the winter. Maybe once a year haul a lightweight trailer. A couple times a month go on forrest roads to mountain bike, camp, or hike. No massive wheeling, rock crawling, and nothing like Cleghorn but I have done some basic stuff on my stock setup.
What I'm thinking: Would I love an upgrade? Hell yea. Do I need it? Unsure. Right now even when I have 1500-2000lbs in the bed I don't mind the ride and the truck handles fine. It can also handle any OHV trails I've been on.
What I'm wondering: Unlike other multiple thousand dollar "toy" purchases I've made I've been able to test drive/try out those things beforehand. I've never upgraded suspension before so I'm wondering how much a difference this really makes, especially when I haven't had any problems so far. I also know Sport suspension is stiffer then OR which I feel like a lot of people replace.

I've read in other threads how stock suspensions now can handle what the average person will throw at it, "buy once cry once," and if it ain't broke don't fix it. So I understand since I haven't had any issues why change it, but if it's too good to pass up...do you pass it up?

    Alright, let's hear it...

Well since you occasionally put 1500-2000lbs in the bed which exceed payload capacity you should do some sort of upgrade. Remember upgrading suspension does nothing to increase payload capacity. While it may keep It from sagging in the rear, it’s the axles that carry the load on a semi float rear axle.

I'll keep the single leaf on for that reason. Usually I'm in the 500-1000 lb range. Is the rest worth it?
