Who doesn't hold their child up in the air like that when birds of prey are swooping down?

Also, pretty cool that the buffalo is allowing the amputee parent and child to nub-bump before the kid is done riding!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY YELLOWSTONE! :angrygirl:
On March 1, 1872 Yellowstone became the first (and still the best) National Park.

Sad day in Gardiner today...a fire broke out in the kitchen of the Two Bit Saloon. By the time things were under control a total of 5 businesses were destroyed. The town has been struggling this year as park traffic is its main economy...this is going to take a long time to recover from. Not to mention that most of these buildings were original / historic structures. The circled area is what burned, right on the main street that leads into the park.

I saw this yesterday, truly heartbreaking actually. I can remember just last year going through there. :(

Its such a small town...lots of folks are reeling today.

Cool place. I am somewhat glad that the Yellowstone Forever building wasn't affected (it goes back to the turn of the century) or what's left of the original rail station (its a museum now) or the building that houses the archives for the Park (they have so many things in storage that are priceless).

its big. and heavy. and a :censored: to park. But I love it. having a full kitchen and indoor plumbing is a game changer. I was just in the Tetons for 6 days and I didn't want to come home. If I had been in my tent I would have been tired of the set up / tear down everyday and ready to come back but the camper is so easy and cozy I could stay out forever!

That’s awesome Lisa. I hope to eventually have a similar set up with my Flippac. Unfortunately due to all of the bullshit that’s going on I haven’t been able to concentrate on doing any build out. :(
