Clutch Help

So I had the dreaded chip from my throw out bearing and decided I could drop the tranny and do that myself. Well success got it all back together....

But when I went to start the truck the clutch pedal goes to the floor ?
I pump it again and then it is rock hard barely any movement ...
I use the clutch start cancel to start the truck and I try pushing in the clutch and hear a grinding, I have a look at the slave cylinder opening and I can see the clutch fork is going way to far and hitting into the flywheel.

I never disconnected any lines or blocked them for the clutch. I just removed the slave cylinder and lines off the tranny when i dropped it.

Am I to assume I need to bleed the clutch now ?
Or am I missing something ?

How is the clutch fork getting past the pressure plate and actually hitting the flywheel? That’s definitely isn’t right. Or do you mean it’s hitting the pressure plate?

Make sure the slave cylinder rod didn’t get pushed out of place. Then I’d bleed the clutch system and recheck.

 

Also make sure one of the clutch forks didn’t slip off the throw out bearing.

 

Ok i will have a look tomorrow, hope it is just a clutch bleed !

Only other thing I can think of of is also make sure the fork didn’t slip off the little pivot that it sits on.

 

Sounds like it needs bleeding.

 

So in the end, I had the wrong thow-out bearing, I guess there is two different types for the different trannies for our tacoma's. So lessons learned that I dropped the tranny twice and got the right one installed and it worked perfectly.
