Let's just say, never get 3 crowns in one pull. Been in temporaries for 2 months cuz of the crud. And teeth shifted slightly so we started over....FML!

I made the mistake once of not having them numb me when taking off the temporaries to prep for the permenant. The temperature shock was not a pleasant experience. I have a high pain tolerance but I won't make that mistake again.

 

It was good.
I’m about to call it a day and get some sleep.

 

Getting my thumb pierced was about the limit for me. Doc tried to see the tip of my thumb back on in the er.

 

You have no idea!!! I consider myself pretty tough but first she missed with the novacain. Took out my back tooth but tongue and lip were still alive. Bottom right teeth here. So she starts yanking off that triple crown temp (all in a row. Back to front). I say I can feel that. Jacks me again. Misses again. Hits me a third time farther up my mandible. That did it. Then none of the crowns fit cuz my nubs moved the slightest bit in the temps and my teeth are tight. Start over with impressions and then my temp fucking shattered in my mouth when she tried to pull it out.... so by the time the new temps went in the numby stuff wore off and I went thru the roof.
It sucked.

 

The doc trying to bend my toe after a foot surgery was no fun but it's a different type of pain. Having the nerves so exposed with your teeth and taking a breath of cold air. Ugh I still can remember the pain. It was like instant migraine. After I got home (which I probably wasn't in a great state to drive) I had to lay down for hours.

 

You crazy lady! All those nerves are exposed!!!

 

^^^^ this is why I love not having to ever go through this again. I opted the fuck out!

 

I have been there more than once. One of my first memories of a dentist were traumatic at best.
I was 5 on a camping trip, had a tooth go abscess and my jaw began swelling. My parents through me in the truck, and ran me to the nearest open dentist (aka the butcher). I cried and screamed the whole way. They took me in and put in the chair and The dentist came in, put a knee in my chest and grabbed the tooth and ripped with what I think were vice grips. Dentists can suck all the dicks.

 

I believe last year sometime. TTC #186!
