Removing the springs from the shock?

 

Yes, I had a hell of time seperating my 888's from the shock, could not get enough separation with the lower control area to get them to come loose on top. Ask @Phoosa on how we did it...scary

Ive watched Chris do it with a racing jack. Mark the alignment cams, loosen them, then remove the two bolts for the LBJ that go into the bottom of the spindle. At that point, the LCA should be free to swing down and out of the way and in theory you should be able to slowly release pressure off the spring using the jack

Ya we tried that, it just wasn't happening. Was not an issue putting the 886's on it was just getting those 888's off.
