Anyone Else have a 5 speed and 5th is notchy? When I go from 4th to 5th sometimes it will be smooth as butter but other times I can feel it like going into gear roughly if you know what am saying.

sounds like synchro , maybe slight defect? your issue is if you take it to the dealer it will be in "smooth as butter mode"

How many miles on the truck? When mine gets feeling notchy, it’s time for new trans fluid

My 3rd gear has always seemed notchy going into it. Never had an issue with 5th. I switched to Redline MT90 at 20k miles. I'm at 105k now. I'd change out the fluid if it's out of warranty and start there.

If it is under warranty, I'd suggest taking it in before putting some miracle oil in it. Don't give the service writer any reason to deny warranty.

My Frontier was like that the entire 16 years i owned it. I was told it was the synchros (as mentioned above). It never gave me issues other than sometimes tough to get into gear, usually when i was trying to race a Corvette and thats the reason i lost....every..single...time.
