TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

I would totally be up for it. Just have to plan ahead so I can take vacation time. And so I can mass order parts for the install party

 

I need to figure out ahead of time when to go as well that way I can order parts as well and plan vacation time too.

 

i know.... ive done everything wrong. my reason for copying guys that know shit.

 

one thing ive tracked. s/c fluid temps are about 8* above ambiente to the intercooler. hard runs 13* very steady #s though.this is with my distilled water and water wetter from rediline. about a 10% decrease in temps from factory coolant

 

I smell some rubber burning through a few states lines in our near future...

 

oh yes. wet pavement tmrw. trutrac still burns e-load rubber.

 

What temps or what should I expect to be reading? As much as I assumed def a ton more heat coming through the engine bay. I can feel that in the cab. I do know I need to pull my shroud and add some wether seal around it but wanted to keep an eye on coolant temps. Anything to look at for oil or tranny temps? From what I have seen 180-200 on the coolant.

Mainly been driving for tuning purposes so she is getting worked good in various states.

 

dont overreact. data from gauges is nice but youre in no danger man.

 

Still tuning and getting used to it but pushing these heavy ass E-Load 315's. tried to pul some 0-60 times on almost WOT and tires be spinning easy. Cant wait to drop the pulley further.

 

Figured as much but good to keep an eye with all the new stuff. Mainly was concerned since the new CSF and shroud are not flush so there is room for improvement.

I wish I could still burn rubber. But at over 100lbs per wheel/ tire combo per corner and at 7000ft elevation even the best of tunes struggles.

I need a smaller pulley

 

dude... csf radiator? unless youre having an idle contest in the desert youre good. maybe if its a contest. ha!

Lol I’ve been tempted to bolt up the wife’s 33’s and see how the truck runs. Try turning sticky compound 37” tires at elevation and I feel the need/ want for way more power. Diffs and axles are what scares me

 

big meats wear parts. id love 37s. and the thought of how to spin em on 4:10's. ha ha!

 

Lol I went to 4.56’s when I jumped to 33’s. Then kept them with my 35’s and now am just waiting to break something to justify the need for 5.29’s.

 

I’m on 34s and honestly have been considering dropping down a size or two for daily driving. I just love breaking mustang and challenger hearts so much. Its too easy on stock tire size.
