    "Better" is a subjective term, everyone can say theirs is "better" or "best". Try to look at some tangible parameters when comparing - for instance, our struts have bigger rod and tube diameters than Redline, which makes them stronger and more uniform in force output. They are USA made and are of OEM quality, with better seals to reduce gas leakage, which allows us to back them with a 5 year warranty. Redline has 4 year warranty on their Plus struts, Sokie has 1 year.

    Also, try contacting the company you plan to buy from with any questions, and assess the speed and depth of responses you get. If you don't get a prompt response before the sale, how do you think it'll work after the sale, when you have issues or questions?

    As for the high lift capability, no one needs it , and you don't have to utilize it (you can select any hood height with Spiker kits, from stock up to +6"). But you'll be amazed at the extra access and lighting that comes with the higher lift. You can always add a pull strap if your truck is lifted :).

    Just some food for thought. Thankfully the world is big enough for Redline, Spiker, and Sokie to coexist :). Do your research and buy what's best for you based on your criteria.

    I think the whole 4-5 year warranty and made in USA is a sales gimmick. My vote is for the Skokie, why? Because they are affordable and the functionality is exactly the same with the advantage of not drilling holes. I don’t get why you need to spent $o much on simple struts to lift a hoodo_O.

    Exactly why I’m askingo_O How are they higher quality? Lifting higher is definitely one advantage but that’s all I can really tell the difference from the two sales pages. I’m all for going with originals. That’s how I normally roll
    Now he may be biased but this was more the answer I was looking for (and hoping for cuz I already bought them!)o_O:D

    I just got in the SokieTechs, and I'm gunna be honest, I really feel like the Spikers will be better for me. I was real hesitant about riveting anything and was so pro-bolt-on, but after all the install videos I have watched on the Spikers, I'm sold. Plus, the Sokietech's have different lengths dampers because the lower mounting points are in different locations, and my OCD will NOT be able to handle that LOL. So this week I am ordering the Spikers, a rivet gun, some touchup paint, and I'm gunna get at it!!!!!

    Installed the hood struts today. Not too difficult:p:D started snowing on me after I drilled the first hole! I used touch up paint on them so no corrosion down the line:headbang: I like em! I considered getting the sokietechs as well for the no drilling aspect and they seemed easier to install. But the angles and such didn’t make sense to me and I’m telling myself I’m not going lazy or cheap when it comes to this truck! It is my dream truck after all. I’m glad I went with the Spikers!

    Unfortunately I'm deployed right now but reach out to Leon at Spiker and he will answer all your questions. My spacers are just threaded pieces of stainless hex that you can get at the big box store. Well worth the upgrade.

    I don't see an issue with the powertray components in your setup. The struts typically do have a slight interference with the fender mounted clutch cylinder like yours, requiring 1/2" spacers. In your setup, since the reservoir is closely surrounded by the powertray, you'd have to space the powertray as well with 1/2" spacers. Totally doable :thumbsup:
