    Hey people. How's it going?

I just got my first Tacoma. Actually yesterday. Drove 7.5 hours (one way) to get it and then turned around and drove right back because I had to work today, lol, left at 6 am, got home little before 10 pm.
But it was well worth it.

Got a 2006 Tacoma 4WD Double Cab Long Bed with a LEER topper, V6, Tow Package, JBL System, Leather fitted Seat covers in near mint shape, Sidestep that lowers when doors open w/lights and retracts when closed.
    123000 miles
Now I looked at ALOT of Tacomas. This had to be one of the cleanest out of them all. Just in excellent condition. 3 owners; 1st owner (11 years) only drove it 6,200 miles/year. 2nd owner drove it like 18K and 3rd was 8-9K.
But what sold me on it was its CarFax.
Like I said I looked at ALOT of Tacomas. On Ebay, Craigslist, Autotempest, Online Auction sites, but then I also typed Car Dealer in Google, went to the Maps, and scrolled around to every city within 8-9 hours of me and scrolled into dealerships and would search every dealership in a city with 4+ stars, lol. Did that for 2 weeks, drove the wife mad, lol.
Anyways Carfaxs I looked at either had 0-3 Service records (most), Maybe 5-8 (Quite a few), some even had 13-16 (very few), but this one with only 123,000 miles had 28 service records!
I looked at mileage and they took this in religiously to Dealerships to get fluids changed. Only 1-time truck barely went over 10K miles before oil was changed. Most were 5-7K and some 3K in between with other fluids changed.
And Absolutely no rust underneath at all. Well, maybe a tiny quarter and nickel-sized surface rust on the frame in one little spot. Otherwise, everything is CLEAN, will make working on it a lot easier.
My mechanic that's a friend and not local to me thinks this was a Grandpa/Grandma Truck. Think this was probably Grandmas truck that she barely used and Grandpa always made sure it was taken care of. Cause it's pretty easy to step into as is, so whoever had it, had a hard time raising their knees up that high.

Anyways I've owned a Landcruiser that I Sold so I could move halfway across the country and Now I finally have Tacoma.....and a pretty nice one that was Totally worth the 7.5 hour drive to get it.

Plan on getting new rubber for it first, then maybe Wheels. Maybe a 2" lift if I can afford, lol. And wouldn't mind a BullBar and Winch.
We'd also like to turn the bed into some sort of sleeping camper. Neither one of us are tall and we have the 6' bed. Maybe I should go lay in it just in case. lol

Anyways that's about it for now. I'm sure I'll be a lurker for awhile till I can actually afford to do things to the truck.
Well one thing I need to do is hook up some sort of Bluetooth to Stereo. Seen GTA's kit, wasn't sure if there were others or how that kit even sounded. Heard some don't sound great and you have to crank up stereo.

Good to be here. Peace out all
