Anyone experienced in fitting a Bernese Mountain Dog into the back seat of a double cab Gen 3 Tacoma? I already have a back seat cover, Duluth Trading Company's Scout's Mobile Mudroom. ttps://www.duluthtrading.com/scouts-mobile-mudroom-36201.html?dwvar_36201_color=GRA&cgid=duluth-gear-truck-seat-covers&ev3=#start=4&cgid=duluth-gear-truck-seat-covers I am most concerned about whether this pup can get out of the truck on his own. (My truck is not lifted.) Also do you think that he will stay in the back set without further restraint? The "mudroom" does not allow for seat belt use. My last dog was a forty pound Boykin Spaniel. No problems transporting that little guy. I'm an old guy and cannot be lifting this big dog in and out of my truck. Any comments will be appreciated.

I could really see him having trouble getting into and out of the truck. They’re big dogs, and that’s a lot of weight to be jumping down from the height of the backseat. Had a bernese a few years back, and a torn acl was what took him down in the long run. They’re amazing dogs though, I want another one eventually!

My Great Dane fits well. With the seats down and him standing his head touches the roof. So that's the only detraction from comfort for him.

I have a 110 lb bernese whos almost 7 years old, he still jumps in and out of my 2.5" lifted 2017. he jumps onto the sill, then the seat. same going down he puts his front paws on the sill before exiting. he has on 2 occasions let out a little yelp and had a limp for a few days but nothing major. at that point I made a ramp that lays across the floor and I would have used it but he's afraid of the ramp :annoyed:and wont use it, in fact he tries to jump over it actually making it a bigger jump. maybe when he's too old to jump he will use the ramp AID
