looking for a 255/80/17 for spare. 1st choice is Toyo MT but anything in that size could work.

Were you able to find this spare? I'm looking for the same and am curious how you sourced it. What about the wheel? Where did you source a 17" spare wheel?

I havnt found one yet. Still looking. I have a 295/75/16 spare to match and rotate the 5wheels. But I’m looking for a 6th tire to mount on my steel spare. My truck came with 17’s, so the spare is a 17. I purchased 5 16” ray 10’s early on but never got rid of the spare in the garage. It would be nice to have a slender spare mounted in the stock spare location, it’ll save 40 mm of width. My 295’s don’t hang too low, but and inch and a half of extra clearance under there would be nice. The toyos 255/80/17 is the same diameter as my 295’s.

I went to a couple of tire shops in the diverse area of town, ended up with two.

They're common enough for dually trucks that they're not too bad to find.

Good call. Might hit up the flea market then. Lots of tires around there.
