So I recently moved to a much-too-small neighborhood and my truck doesn't fit in the garage so I have to park on the street. The streets are pretty small and the way it's laid out is that the houses on one side of the street have driveways, but no parking on the street, and the other side of the street (that I live on) has no driveways, but street parking.

So, the villain of my story lives on the "driveways" side, but has 3 vehicles, including his truck. He keeps 2 in his driveway, and parks his truck in front of my house. This spot is on the end of the street, so nobody parks in front of him, and I usually just park behind him (or further down the street).

Now, anytime he takes his truck out, the villain has his wife move her car out of his driveway, and into the spot in front of my house, to hold the spot for him when he gets back.

Lately it seems like his wife backs up pretty close to my truck, presumably to make sure nobody pulls up so far that his truck wont fit in when he gets back.

I put the question to the court of TW3G, is this "too close"?

Park in front of her car, really close. which I assume would block Your own driveway, no big deal. Let them sort it out from there.

    I’m petty about these things.

my neighbor parked in front of my house every day, so I parked directly in front of theirs, in the most inconvenient spot. One day they moved their car so I pulled my commuter car in and left it there for a week. They haven’t parked there since

OP.... take your truck on a trip to The Home Depot. Buy yourself a package of cement. Mix it up and take a drink.... because you need to harden the fk up.

Than chase with a beer... because Friday!

A few additional facts for the court:

1 - There is no space in front of her car (it's the corner), I could however fit my motorcycle in front of her in some sort of passive aggressive chess move.

2 - The side I'm on does not have driveways - which makes the move a little more offensive to me.

although that is kinda being a douche by "holding" the spot with anouther one of his vehicles it seems close but on the border of too close.

    This juror deems it acceptable

Is there not that much more room in front of the white car? Normally that distance is fine in the city or a more urban area but if its a neighborhood somewhere in the burbs or sticks with plenty of space to park, then I would feel its a little close.

Looks like you are going to have to start to play the game so he can't park in front of your house

It's a suburban area on a public road. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Though the hold parking is a douche move. Rent a trailer for home improvement and leave it attached in front of your spot :stirthepot:

Last weekend a new neighbor moved in across the street and his dipshit brother parked in my drive way BLOCKING THE ENTIRE THING. Thankfully it was only 20 minutes because it was unlocked and I was about to put it in Neutral and coast it to his yard.
