I have a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 extended cab with 183,000 miles on it and one ignition coil went bad replaced it with a Duralast and I’ve seen a negative mileage on a tank of gas I 70 miles the other day I replaced them with two more initial coils and now it’s idling rough and running rough what is the part number for the Denso ignition coil for the 96 Tacoma that has the waste fuel system set up in it so it’ll run right please help.

    Welcome to TW Shawn
Have you tried Denso parts look up
online. It will ask 2.4. 2.7 or 3.4 engine as will other TW members.

I just ordered some new Denso coils using the website linked above to get the part numbers. The cheapest site I’ve found that sells genuine Denso stuff is DensoProducts.com

My 1998 3RZ has two coils, and I bought both of them for about ~$50 each.

Hard to give you a # without an Engine.but the original 4 cylinders still used a distributor in that year.

3.4 673-1201 but double check for sure.

So you used more gallons of fuel then mileage ??

Gallons per mile and I thought my 10 miles per gallon was bad
