Has anyone tried tinting the gill emblem and did it mess with any off the tss or cruise control?

Just curious, why would you want to tint the emblem?

I believe the obsession is more changing anything and everything from the way Toyota originally build it.

This is supposed to work. I have one, but I haven't put it on yet. Maybe I should do it today (if I find it).

I like to black out things because I really, really don't like shiny things on cars. I don't even like the shiny paint. I would prefer to wrap my truck in a matte color, but it doesn't make sense to spend thousands and have to do it again after a few years.

I don't even care about blacking out per se, it could be any color, as long as it's not shiny and chromey. Black happens to be the color of most aftermarket parts.

Mine worked with an 1/8 inch of ice on it so I assume a small tint should be ok. I don't like the chrome of the badge, grill or headlights either. I'll be fixing all three plus pro fogs once it's warm again.

I just tried and gave up. The emblem is rounded, not flat, and I wasn't able to apply the sticker without significant wrinkles. I'm not the most patient person, but I made an extra effort. After 5 minutes I had enough though.

Maybe it would work better with a heat gun... I'll try again sometime.

No it won't affect it unless its made of tinfoil. It penetrates entire cars.

I got peelable spray tint. I'm going to tape it off and spray it on. I just hope if it melts in a few months I can get it off clean. Gonna do my 3rd brake light too.
