89 4runner - The old grey bush

last bawks showed up today, no candy. It did have the parts I need. First I've got some fixing on the tacoma then the frame cleanup begins.

 

Well. I got another one a few weeks ago. 88 3.0 5spd. Head gasket was done before I got it. Hasnt been inspected since 2011 when the head gasket blew though. The cooling system/ rad and heater cores were plugged up. I got a new rad and flushed the system. It runs awesome. Except it overheats when you try to drive. I pulled the thermostat and everything is ok...cold but ok. Took it to get inspected and the only thing it needs is an exhaust. I got it ordered. Also ordered a front solid axle rebuild from low range. And against better judgment I ordered a sas kit from davezoffroadperformance in January apparently it is in stock but it hasnt shipped yet. Now hes not answering my emails...Sob. I can't wait to actually get it inspected and drive it more...the thing drives great compared to my taco. I should start a build thread for it... edit. I just received some tracking numbers from davez.

Haha. No doubt, we all need a shot of get-after-it every once in awhile. My ongoing projects are mostly on hold, excepting light duty stuff like knife sharpening, until I finally kick Covid.

That being said, I love to live vicariously.
Can you feel the audiences' eagerness?

As Craig said, not much unfortunately. I have a pile of parts collecting dust just need to get some fire under my ass.

 

Still no fire...

 

Jersey permits for a fire are tough to get these days.
