Doing a full fluid flush, brakes, and General 60k service myself.

I grease the driveshaft zerks every oil change, and I could have sworn on my previous 2012 It called for slip yoke grease. My Current 2014 has no such mention in the 2.7 Mx guide. Does anyone do this at a regular interval? Or do most just leave it alone until you get a clunk? I have no issues at the moment at all, just more curious than anything.

    thanks!

The slip yoke is sealed and doesn't have a zerk to lube it easily. I don't know of any recomended interval for doing this. I had my whole driveshaft refurbished and balanced by a shop at 150k. I would recommend doing the slip yoke when you replace the u-joints.

I did mine at about 100k miles when I replaced the carrier bearing. There wasn't a lot of grease on it from the factory, but it looked fine, no wear or issues.

When I was doing my carrier bearing replacement, I went ahead and drill/tapped the slip yoke to add a zerk fitting. Didn't take more than 10 minutes to do either.
