I have a Makita drill I bought like 20-22 years ago. I think it's like 2.7 volt. I used it at least 2-4 hours a day for the 1st couple of years and maybe now one or twice weekly. Still on the original 2 batteries and brushes. Batteries are getting a little weaker now. But the drill still runs as good as new.
