    1997 Tacoma 4WD
    I have a 83 FJ40 with a 5spd. just had a Sumo Gear set installed 4-1 low and 10% under drive. it changed the car totally. I have the stock engine (except for some stuff). the car was a little under powered in 5th gear, (33 inch tires). This conversion fixed all of that. finally my question has anyone out there have something similar? and does your transmission make a louder whining noise? Just wondering if that will subside a little.
