Morning! Im a newbie in here, but I've had my 95 Taco for about 7 years. I use it for hauling my ladders, and window washing gear. so no off road. a few years ago I had a local chevy dealer install new strut assemblies on the front, and shocks on the rear. I thought I trusted them, but now here are the problems...and Im specifically asking your advice for what shock/struts YOU would put on a normal daily driver taco. Problem #1. we have a round-about in town, when I drive around it, the Taco feels like its lunging through the thing. Problem #2. On bigger bumps at highway speed, she skates, pretty significantly. Problem #3. the truck has quite a bit of sway. So...Im confident now that they put cheap aftermarket junk on it, and at the time, I just didn't know it. What would you guys do so that it handles better, rides better, and most importantly is safe. (1995, 284000 miles, all original V6 AT 4x4 ExtraCab with Camper shell, and often a full bed) ps, I did look for similar threads, but there is just so much on here I got lost. im sorry if this is a question already answered. Kelly

Complete OME suspension kit, Used low mileage V6 engine swap, black powder coated Chou Seiki T15x7JJ, ARB deluxe bumper, Smitty Bilt nerf bars, Weathertech floor liners, Torklift tiedowns
I had lot of similar issues with the worn out shocks (brand unknown) and stock leaf springs. I would load things into the bed, the back end would sink, and my front end would point upward like a stink bug. I also have a camper shell as well and it’s my daily driver. The stock leaf springs leave much to be desired in their performance considering the load capacity of these trucks can handle around 1,350lbs maximum payload capacity.

I ended up buying the OME complete suspension kit with Nitrocharger shocks, 883 coils ( I have an ARB bumper already), Dakar leaf springs, and AAL for the extra 200 lbs.of weight. I had to get the extra hardware for the rear axle and stainless steel brake lines, but it was well worth the $2000+ investment on my truck.
