Mine is always so coated in fluid film I'd never even notice that!

Wouldn't worry about it at all OP but that's personal preference, if someone wants it taken care of while in the warranty period Toyota should fix it IMO

Dealer doesn't touch my vehicles unless absolutely necessary. Want it fixed, right, the first time.....use the Permatex stuff mentioned above and do it yourself

I noticed differential seepage on my '18 TRD Sport and cleaned it and have not noticed any return in about 6 months.
Not saying it will be same in your case, but might be worth a try.
If mine does eventually return, I won't be too concerned unless it gets to the point of dripping.

Got a 2017. Repaired once and now it’s back. I’ll live with it as long as it’s not dripping lol.

Have similar on my truck and every truck I've about ever owned. Don't even care, it's nothing.

Just finished the dealer service inspection, foreman claimed it's not an active leak. I'm gonna use some degreaser and check it again later down the road. Ordering the gasket maker now in preperation. I appreciate everyone's input!

So to remedy this myself , just remove driveshaft , the take the pumpkin cover off and re seal with gasket maker ? That’s it ?

I use a gasket with a little RTV on both sides. Cross tighten the third into the diff. I rebuilt my Bronco and have had no seeping. You'd think Toyota could do it.

I have never seen a used rear sold axel diff with no seepage. It's violent in there. Just make sure there no puddles on the driveway.

Actually super nice design when it comes to working on your diff. Other than being more trouble to open up to "re-seal" it's easier to service in every other way.
