broken frame on a 2008

Hey folks. I used to be a Toyota enthusiast. Waited for years till I could afford a good used Tacoma. Since then bought a Camry and a Highlander. Son bought a Rav4. Now I wish I had none of them. I have a 2008 Tacoma and I am just outside Halifax NS (snow and salt area). A few years ago I got the note to have my frame checked and did so - passed! (Yay) - not so much. Took it in for a safety inspection in Feb and frame is BROKEN. So much for "passed." So now I have a well maintained junker. No satisfaction from Toyota Canada as the warranty on the undercoating applied during the assessment visit, expired in Sept. Truck works like a charm but my "guy" tells me it is not safe to drive and can't pass inspection. Was a daily driver for years and has 330,000 kms. 4 cyl. auto with no fancy stuff. No rust on body - new front and rear bumpers - everything works. Anyone have any idea about possibilities or options? Any suggestions as to what this truck might be worth? As much as I hate to say it I think I'll buy a Ford.... next time. Dealer doesn't seem to care about VERY unhappy Tacoma owner.

Just get the frame patched where it is damaged. Easy peasy.

 

Yeah call Toyota corporate and keep running it up the ladder. Trust me
