Haha I bought wheels and tires, buuut NYC going on lockdown delayed that by a month.

    She's thicc now:

Very true. It was in it's ugly phase.

I asked them to make more a while ago, but they weren't going to. I shelved the idea until I decided to make one that tied into the front rail for rigidity. After a bunch of testing i'm very happy with it.

That's awesome. See a product you like, they won't make it anymore so you take charge. Nice job. Like I mentioned before in this thread where someone asked if it can be used with a hard shell, maybe incorporating a bend in it to clear the shells overhanging lip over the bed rail might be worth it if you get enough request from shell owners.

I get that request a lot, I just need to find some time (and someone with a cap) to test on. I'm working on it :)

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

That would be awesome. Would take some engineering and a lot of metal. For some reason reminds me of a friend in college who had a KLR with a bike rack on the side of it.

Most of them are kinda trash or super dead only decent ones are the 4runner ones. I’m in Ga 4Runners, Atlanta 4runner’s and Expedition Georgia. But honestly I only use Facebook for Supra stuff anymore since the forums are dead.

There's a Tacomaworld facebook group that seems to be mostly filled with newbies asking basic questions. Nothing wrong with that, but that's the majority of the discussions.

There's also a North Georgia Overlanders group that's pretty good resource for trail reports and the like.

Back when I was on Facebook I used to watch the Peach State Overland guys, their community page had some activity. They do a couple of light trail rides a year. They're pretty nice folks, very inviting to newcomers.
