    If you get the chance in the future, or aren’t 100% set I’d go to Lincoln National Forest (cloudcroft) or Ruidoso / Red River. I go to NM pretty frequently and those are by far the best dispersed camping spots.

    Nothing worse than driving on a SINGLE road and get billed for different sections because they're managed by different companies. No consistency, and they're vague about who is managing what.
