Nothing wrong with being fussy and redoing something you're not happy with, shows pride in workmanship. I've done things over on many an occasion knowing I could have done a better job, drives my wife absolutely nuts.

To me there are only two ways of doing things. There's the right way and the wrong way, good enough to me is not the right way.

I had a boss that would always say, "hey, hey, hey, we ain't making Swiss watches you know!" When he needed something done well guess who he would give it to.
Best damn boss I've ever had , I'd walk through fire for the guy. When he'd write my review you'd swear that I was the 2nd coming of the Lord. They don't make bosses like that any more!!!

Take pride in your work, be your biggest critic and you'll never be displeased with the final product.

Not ignoring the question Bud just trying to figure out the best way to explain it.
Just got off a 12 hr 6PM to 6 AM shift so right now I'm not the sharpest tack in the box.
If anyone would like to jump in there feel free otherwise I'll PM you once I look at the inside of my eyelids for a while and shake off the cobwebs.
Would be a whole lot easier to show you but I'm not a video guy.
Perhaps YouTube "how to spray paint using an aerosol can."
    Let me think on it.

Chrome deletion (vent rings, dash/console kit) and red TRD start button a la MESO Customs last night. What a difference.

The clear on most Toyota's is very thin. I used to remove the pinstripes from my FJ all the time and it took a few times to get it just right on how much pressure you could apply before doing any damage. I always go with a slow speed on my DA polisher and take the time rather then go far and risk burning the cc.

Just picked one up also from the dealer. With shipping it worked out about the same and no waiting. Gonna install over the 3 day weekend. Need stuff to do. That is if it ever stops raining.

Looks great. You obviously enjoy doing this otherwise you would just buy one.
Here is the barrage of questions:
Did you have a pattern or wing it?
How much time do you have in it so far?
    Were the materials readily available?
What is the weight of this compared to one that is consumer market available?
Will this be able to support items on the roof?
How much do you figure it will cost once completed?
    Would you do this again?

Sorry, that was the excited 6 year old me with all those questions coming out of my head.

Nice! Took me around 15 min to install. Gonna have to open wallet to eat up more time haha. I’m considering replacing my OEM LED fog lights with some Amber LED’s .

Hey y'all, those with a camper shell and a rack on the top of it, what hardware are you utilizing to secure it to the camper? Having a hard time finding this as I am building my own version?

    Thanks in advance

Sounds good, I’ll let you know if I make swap. The stock LED’s are really nice and clean/ crisp. I’m just thinking amber would be nice extra. I’ll keep you posted .
