I would shoot a note to URD support off the website. I couldn’t find a link to the pdf anywhere.

Possibly. This is something I’ve wanted for a while, but I’ve got a lot of irons in the fire right now.

Sounds like you have what @DocME and I have noticed with ours. I came to the assumption that is was the Ucon. I never noticed it until I had installed it. I have noticed if I continually drive it like I am pissed off at it it runs great. Only does the surge thing when I am driving like I care about my mpg. But if it is the throttle body, I guess it is a good time to upgrade.

And I finally caught up and found out you fixed your issue. Good. I am not worried about mine since I rarely drive it like I'm not mad at it. But when your towing 7500lbs, the surge is much more noticeable. And I am driving nice.

Just shoot me a PM. I completely understand. I am trying to get my shit together so I can go pickup Tim’s Dana 60. Hence trying to pull irons out of the fire.

Yeah, no, I thought it was fixed but it is not. It is still doing it.

It's seriously annoying and I really have to wonder what the hell is causing it.

@JustDSM thinks it may be an issue of the tune reverting back to it's base idle tables momentarily causing the pause until the PCM realizes, "oh hey, we are moving, time to stop that crap."

Part of me still thinks it's the TB...

clean tb and basics. @JustDSM is a master tuner but every truck is specific. he showed me a tune that i believed was from @loginfailed for similar tune on mine took multiple adjustments for success.

Look at your log that you send with your back to back stop and go’s.

At the points where you noted the hesitation/stumble, there’s not a single instance where the throttle deviated from what it should. There’s not a fueling error present (outside typical fuel trim discrepancies). There is however a large and sudden drop in timing to values that are identical to the idle map.

To further, the test file I sent where the idle values for specific RPMs and loads were manipulated to ‘more closely’ match that of the base table, the problem lessens.

Draw whatever conclusions you wish, but put it to the test and temporarily flash back to the stock TRD calibration. I would wager a beer that it still persists.

That was one of the first things I did, and clean the MAF as well. No changes.

It does lessen, I agree. When it falls, it falls INCREDIBLY hard though at any random instance and I thought the issue was speed related, but it turns out it's throttle feather related, as I was able to duplicate it in traffic on the freeway while we were going a good 30-35 mph... It was mild, but I could feel it.

If various trucks have been experiencing it, stock or tuned, supercharged or not, then that makes me wonder if there may be an underlying hardware issue at hand which is messing with the software side of things. Just me thinking out loud mostly.

I sent you the email with the wide open throttle run back by the way, did everything look fine?

    My shit is all stock.
    Ruthenium eh? Hmmm.

Original supercharged spark plugs are Denso IKH22. That's NGK heat range 7. One step colder than the normal non-supercharged plug.

    upload_2020-5-20_7-6-52.jpg

Some of the Ruthenium plugs have a tip design specifically for Turbo/Supercharged engines. They call it PSPE.

    upload_2020-5-20_7-10-6.jpg

So, after digging through all of the available part numbers, I came across these:

    IMG_1278.jpg
    IMG_1280.jpg

Correct heat range. Correct threads and length. Fancy PSPE tip. Weird coil end. Resistance is 1K vs the 5K of the "correct" plug.

    IMG_1279.jpgIMG_1277.jpg

They went in yesterday. Work perfectly. Coil end contacts the spring in there just as well as the normal plugs.

    We'll see how they wear.

Is it running any differently or butt Dyno better?

I've been eyeballing these for some time but I can't order them locally and I don't feel like ordering online.

Those plugs look like the plugs for BMW B-series engines. Very interesting.
