    I feel it's normal to put your hand under to test, but maybe just me? Worst thing that happened with mine was the valve was getting very hard to turn, so i went to find out why, a clip failed and then it started shooting water everywhere. Luckily (after about 5 minutes of panic and trying to keep water from going behind the wall) I shut the valve on the water softener as all water runs through there before going to the house. This was at...9am
