Hey guys. I'm relocating my control box to under my hood. I have everything ready except 1 thing. I can't seem to find out what gauge the smaller "A" wire is. My guess is 12 - 16 AWG, but I'm not sure. Took it to Lowe's today and they weren't much help either. Anyone know what gauge this wire is? Or have any recommendations on which gauge I should purchase to replace it?

Do 12 or 14 and call it a day. I started to do this, and then just put a switch in the cab.

just to update, I called Smittybilt and they said it's an 18. I had already ordered 14 and 16 AWG. I think I'll use one of those.

Also, still going to have a switch in the cab for the power interrupter, but this is just to move the winch control box to under the hood.61143268198__403156D7-AB03-4647-9DB4-0647A63D2218.jpg

You went that far I am curious why you did not put it in the cab??

Over the years I moved quite a few into the cab.

I made a custom bracket that attached to the right side of the transmission tunnel.

Out of the way yet within reach and out of the weather

The owner of the Truck seldom used the right seat

Haha not yet. I’ve got it pretty much done, just have to hook it to the battery and wire up the switch, been short on time lately
