    Oh sweet Lord
Toyota often has a common wiring harness and only the features you model truck has are plugged in. The rest are just left as in occupied plugs. Makes sense, or well it should, the cost for Toyota would be much higher making exact harnesses for each trim or option level. @JaCado

    Obviously Chris, I know that.

Those plugs have a purpose, hence why I'm asking if someone knows what they are for. It might be something I would like to add to my truck in the future if its worth it. Other than stating the obvious, do you know what it is for or do you want to explain trim options to me again?:D

I believe you’re going to need the “Bubba” trim package.
Cause Bubba done went and added some wires. Last I seen him, he run off with is ex-ol’ lady’s sister.
We all knowed her as his Step-sister. But Bubba didn’t see her that way.

I”m thinkin’ they went to the spot light on the Driver’s Door.
Bubba has a hankerin’ for drag deer in of the night.

Yeah, I bet it was for a Spot Light.

    EARLY FRIDAY POST.........coming in. o_O

Yeah, only his good friends call him Bubba.
Everyone else knows him as Casper. :crapstorm:

It’s ok though, we can poke fun at him.

IDK i guess it depends on what optons are available and what you have really. I found some couplings behind some of my switch blanks I guess I could of figured out what they were for but never did

My tundra had all the connectors just laying there for factory security, power locks/windows, heated power mirror,”s, fog lights, etc... mind you this truck was a base model work spec 4x4 v8. So manual everything

I have a connector behind one of my switch blanks too.
I believe the general consensus was that it is for VSC On/Off
My truck doesn’t have that option, and I don’t think it’s as easy as Plug n’ Play.
It’s been ages since I “researched” with help here on TW.

Every blank on the truck (except the seat warmers) had a connection attached to it. I've come across a few harnesses that I couldn't figure out what they were for. Including a random harness behind the dome console which I assume is for the temp/compass.

I have a prerunner sr5 2wd with medium bells and whistles, keyless entry, power locks, windows etc. I bought the truck stock from a conservative family member at 90k.

With all that said, I'm assuming it has to be the harnesses for an aftermarket security system. I can't think of what else it could be.

    I am going with Alarm.
Here is an install for a Keyless Entry Upgrade Alarm System.
Take a look at page #7
    http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/00016-35108inst.pdf

Have a look at the wire colors. They look very similar to your wire colors.
It just looks as if your truck is using a different plug and connector setup.
