Yah that’s the goal. I wanna go to PF since I haven’t been there but I’ll settle for KP as well. Hahaha I just wanna hit some sort of trail.

I’m ready to get a crew together, fill the coolers, wheel up to PF, build a fire and sit back and relax

I’m down. Have a huge pile of scrap 2x4s on the side of my garage so I’ll bring the wood.

Anybody down to do a lei drive by for my niece this Saturday (May 23). Meet up somewhere and do the drive by around 5:30-6 pm Trying to think of something special for her since this whole Covid thing shut down the schools and graduation, along with the fact that she goes to Aiea but lives in Makakilo, and since Aiea HS will be doing their Lei drive by on Wednesday, she won't be able to experience it like those who live in Aiea.
Leis are not needed, but are welcomed, I'd rather have a huge convoy of people driving by honking their horns to congratulate her on her graduation which I think would be special for her.
I'll be posting an update on when and where to meet and what time we'd be leaving to head up to her house.
Hopefully I can get a large turnout to make this day special for her.

Can a stock Tacoma make it pretty far on PF or is it a bad idea? Neighbor just got a Tacoma and figured I’d take him one everything opens.

Main trail should be fine if it’s dry.

Highly recommend upgrading tires even on stock Tacoma.

Also, recommend going with someone who’s been out there before to lead the way.

    Don’t forget recovery gear.

What kind of tires are popular locally? Mainland guys care about snow and ice so hard to follow their recommendations. What all terrains that are best for mud and sand? Or gotta go mud terrains? Daily driven weekend wheeler. I do have a spare set of rims so I could have a dedicated weekend set

BFG TA KO2’s here and is really good on sand but not in mud. I try to avoid mud anyways though. Mud terrains more for digging beneath to find traction, which you don’t want to do on sand lol

So...I took a stock 2020 OR out there once when it was dry, no problem at all.

The second time I went it rained for days before, and while I was on the trail. When I got to the gate, the gate guard laughed at me and said I better have a winch and that I wouldn’t make it.(my jeep buddy did have a winch)I’m not gonna day it wasn’t hairy getting out there or even coming back, but it made it WAY more fun.

So a couple of days ago I posted asking if anyone was interested in helping me do a drive by lei ceremony for my Niece in Makakilo this Saturday afternoon.

If you'd like to join in, we'll meet at the Makakilo community park @ 5pm and head down the hill to their place around 6. She'll be on the side of the road fronting their townhome complex as we pass.

Leis are not needed but are welcomed. I just want to do something special for her since this whole Coronavirus thing cancelled their traditional graduation. After the drive by, maybe we can all meet up someplace to check out each others trucks, talk story and meet other members.

Lets make this years graduates a memorable graduation.
BTW,FYI, she graduated from Aiea High School as one of their valedictorians.
