I just bought an automatic 3rd Gen, 2019 Tacoma, 4x4 off road. Its completely stock. I want to do a 4" lift with 33s (295/75/16). I want to do a full build with front hybrid bumper and rear. With roof rack and a bed rack.
With the weight it'll have, should I go with the 4.88 or 5.29 gears??

I recently did 4.88's with front bumper/winch, rear bumper with swing out, full skids, sliders, leer shell and full roof racks running 285/70/17 tires. i am happy with the 4.88's but definitely could've gone 5.29's. the weight still bogs it down and it still searches for gears on the road. If i ever find a reason to get into the diffs again, im getting 5.29's

Google a calculator for gear ratio

Type in your info and it will spit out the RPM.

Be honest with yourself on weight.
