I didn't research that one. I believe that's the 2020 version of the 906s which seems to be very good. I don't think you can go wrong with many of these.

It's 200 more than 9906 but does have a couple additional features. I see the ability to have an app control the HU. I also see something that allows wireless music to sound better on certain devices ? Overall looks to be a newer HU which it is. I was 798.00 out the door with the 9906xr.

I have had the Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX for a few months now and it has been a great radio. Really like the wireless CarPlay.

the 970s is $735 for me. i don’t want the maestro stuff because it’s just not something i have any interest for. and i heard some of the parameters aren’t always accurate.
i just want to be able to have my steering wheel controls work and that’s bout it.

Okay let’s talk about dash kits? what is the best one they make that is NOT golf ball textured i don’t want that whatsoever and whatever i get needs to be black... gloss preferred

This is the surround i want to install. I have a 2010. but already have a 2014 radio and factory bezel installed. The factory dash panel was cut on both sides to accommodate the 2014 bezel and it fits flush. I shouldn’t have any issues fitting this metra bezel since it’s made for the 2012-15 dash but i already have a 14 bezel (radio) installed in mine would i

Here is that same dash kit (charcoal gloss) in a 2014 TRD Sport with my Pioneer radio. Don't get the black one. I got it first and didn't like the color or texture, so I bought the charcoal gloss and like it much better.

My guess is, if you got the 2014 bezel to fit.. than the Metra kit should work because it is just held to the dash by compression clips. I didn't look into the Maestro because they told me that they (Car Toys) had to install it and program it. So I went with the PAC harness and steering wheel integration. After a week of listening to it, I believed that something was effecting my sound... so I ran speakers directly to the speakers and killed the small speakers in the headliner... what a world of difference.

Get the glossy.. CHG. I personally didn't like the B (flat black textured)

yeah i don’t want the maestro stuff not interested in it.
And yeah i feel same with the dash kit. in order to get the 2014 factory bezel to sit flush you had to cut part of the center console around the radio surround and the guy i bought the radio from did that so the 14 bezel sits flush with no issues. and yeah i deff want the gloss black as the flat i don’t like the looks of.
Do you think whenever i order i should contact crutchfield and see if they can make me a custom cart to remove the bezel they have paired so i don’t pay $15 to not use it?

this is my current cart. Do i need that rca adapter thing?? is that for AUX??

I would definitely recommend talking to Crutchfield.. they are very helpful. I am not sure about removing the bezel. I personally think it maybe needed but I am guessing since I have never seen the cut dash thing done. I didn't use the RCA adaptor(personally)but I just hooked up a single USB. I did get the Metra AX-TOYUSB cable to connect my rear USB of the radio to the factory USB location under the radio (if you have this) that is where I plug in my phone when I want to (since it has wireless CarPlay). I also got the Metra 40-LX11 antenna adaptor to connect to the factory antenna on the fender, for AM/FM. I also go the Maestro ACC-SAT-TO2 adopter kit.. just for the GPS antenna adapter to connect the Pioneer radio to the factory Shark fin on the roof.. so I didn't need the Pioneer small GPS antenna in the box.. plus it gets better signal outside of the truck.. cost more but worth it to me.

Yeah so what i did was installed just one of those generic 2 usb port switches and connected it to power. it required a little trimming of the dash. But having one of those and than havi the radio usb plugged into that so it’s all factory would be ideal.
What i did with my radio was just connect the cord behind the radio and than just route the wire.
But if the cord broke which it always fkn did i would have to remove the radio to replace it which was always a pain in the ass.
I was thinking about removing the factory aux port and then installing a usb port and all that but i’m unsure which parts i would need

Anyone on here able to educate me on what i need to do so my back up cam will appear on the new radio whenever i get it???
I currently relocated the back up cam from the rear view to the 14 display but have no clue how aftermarket works i hear you need like an rca cable and cut it apart and all this crap.

with my 2014.. I had the backup camera display on the factory radio. So I bought the PAC CAM-TY11 and it was just plug and play into the main PAC interface. I didn't have to cut or splice any RCAs. I would guess the camera harness is the same, since you relocated it from the rearview mirror to the 2014 factory radio you have in there and it is working. Just a word of advice, take your time wiring up all these harness. It can get a bit hairy if you don't do it for a living. When you get done and try and fit the aftermarket radio in there .. if it is a full double din then be very patient try to push as many wires to the side as you can because it was a very tight fit on my.

so for the relocation on my 2014 radio i bought this harness from a seller on ebay. it’s same exact what camera source offers except it has the proper connector for the back of the radio.
Camera source doesn’t stock the i think 28 pin connector required so one end goes into the radio. Than i unplug the factory camera connector under the dash near the fuse box plug the harness connector in. and than i tapped it to the reverse trigger wire so it comes on when i go into reverse. I than cut the wire that sends signal to the rear view because how it was anytime i put the truck into reverse the rearview would go blue for 5 seconds.
If i sell the radio i’m going to revert it all back to how it goes stock and start from scratch
