With food and shenanigans. Well have to look up some easy activities. Will also be some tuning and modding.

 

I like it, but this definitely wouldnt be quick and easy.. lol. 2 operations on 2 different machines with outside processing for Anodize. I'm talking a 2D design.. where I can waterjet them out from a sheet, all nested together for quick run time, on some scrap material.. with maybe some deburring on the wheel afterwards and left raw Aluminium.

I'll work on some ideas over the weekend.

Is there anyone coming to tex-fest that might be able to help me weld a couple exhaust tips on? I am not sure what all is involved in this, but id like to cut these aFe ones off and weld on the TRD ones. I know its a long shot for someone to be bringing a tig welder, but figured id throw it out there just in case

 

Going to need a porta-band or Sawzall as well. Looks like the inlet of the TRD ones are a smaller OD, that the AFe ones.

 

I dont have a band saw but i may be able to come up with a sawzall..

I took my digital calipers to the exhaust piping that the afe tips weld to, and both that and the piping on the TRD tips are 2.5"

 

the tubing diameters are supposed to match up right? Or is this a slip fit type of thing?

 

They can be the same or the tips can be slightly larger, like if it were a slip fit. If you cut them to make the a slip fit, you could bolt them on for he time being. Should there be enough material to do so. Then have the tack welded, until you could get a full weld.
