I can’t imagine being so into manual that I would get a body style I didn’t want just to have a stick, especially in a truck.

manuals are disappearing so fanboys are going to have a hard time in 10 years.

just my 2 cents - access cab is only for 2 adults. i got one because i never plan on carrying more people than that as i have no family and everyone i know already has a truck of their own lol. i love the look of it and it feels suitable for my 6speed manual. :)

Well thanks guys for all these comments! I am definitely leaning towards the DC and am going tomorrow to likely close the deal. While the aesthetic of the AC is awesome, the functionality of the DC is great and will likely serve me better long term. Unfortunately the DC I am looking at is not manual but hoping I'll move past that and enjoy the relaxed driving more haha.

    I did, I came from 5-speed PreRunner w/Access Cab.
The reason I didn’t go with a Double Cab was I found an Off Road w/Auto.
The price was within reason and I was ready to get back in a 4WD.
The locker is nice, but I almost never use it.
If I were doing it over, I’d go DC w/Auto . I have a 12’ Utility trailer, So bed length would not be a huge factor for me. I just find the Access Cab less useful than a DC.

No biggie, I can deal with what I got.
Hope to keep it at least 5-7 more years.
In all likelihood, I will probably go up a size in truck next time.
I’m finding myself in situations now that a larger and more powerful truck would help.
Until then, I’m going to run the Tacoma. It’s been good to me.

I’ve owned three Tacoma’s and they have all been AC manuals. I guess I like what I like.

I just can’t get over how unbalanced the DCSB looks.

AC here...as all have mentioned, the rear seats are a joke, but that's not why I bought it. I like the extra room and I like a six foot bed (have a topper), so a DC would be too long for the garage. Besides, I'm single, I hate people, and rarely have anyone in the truck. Thinking about removing the seats altogether. That way, I'll never have to give anyone (more than one) a ride.

The AC is great for storing your tools too. And by storing I mean tossin them in there.
