Anyone else do this? Pics? I just got some all pro standards used, thinking about adding the d29XL leaf to them to make them more like the expo pack.

Any feedback on ride now that it's been a couple months? How about overall ride height gained over stock? Been curious on this.

I put the AAL in and the truck literally rode on the bumps....honestly not even sure that this was really an all pro standard pack.
I swapped the AAL into my dakars and am much happier.

Well, that's disappointing to hear. Not hearing too much positive feedback on the All Pro Standards. And, everyone keeps talking about the lack of QC on the newer Dakars. Not wanting to spend $1000 on Deavers. But, you clearly get what you pay for.

How you liking the Dakars? I'm not against them. But, they do have some known issues. I'm waiting on the Wheeler's Trail Pro Kit. Comes with All Pro leafs; I chose standard based on my setup. Since they're severely delayed, was thinking about asking to swap with Dakars. That's why I ask.

They are pretty good springs. I have the older dakars. The cs047 ones

Seems like the build quality was better on the CS047's. Oh, well. Decisions decisions.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been happy with my AP standard leafs. I do want to add the OME AAL because with the shell on the rear doesn’t sit where I want it to. It’s a soft pack, but not obnoxiously soft.

If I don’t go AAL I’ll go forward with a 63 swap. It’s the better route, just more work.

If you’re shopping for leafs and concerned about the softer characteristics of the standards, go with the Expo pack. Many people had told me the Expo back wasn’t bad without weight, I should have gone that way, but went with the standards.

    Just my .02

Thanks for the additional feedback @eccracer104 . Makes me feel better about them. My one concern with the All Pro standards was towing. I don't carry any weight regularly, but I tow a TT several times a year. Of course, I use a WD hitch, so that helps a lot. Glad to hear they're not obnoxiously soft.

Expos definitely crossed my mind, but I run with zero added weight most of the time. Plus, their specs say it gives an additional inch of lift bringing that up form 3 to 4 inches. I'm not crazy about 3 inches of lift in the rear let alone 4.

If you are towing a set of airbags with Daystar cradles would be a good call to handle the TT weight even with the WD hitch.

If this helps, here’s the best angle I could find. Added weight on the rear: fuel tank skid, HC steel rear, full size spare, shell, tools, camping chairs, cooler.

Cool. I’ll have to look into that: Daystar cradles and airbags. Just do t want to compromise off-road capability.

Thanks for the pic too. Angle is a little hard to see. But, definitely not seeing any sag with the added weight. Thanks again @eccracer104.

Air Lift and Firestone make great air bag kits.

the Daystar cradles allow your suspension to move freely without the traditional mounting of airbags.

Yeah not the best angle, but gives you an idea. There are certainly better leaf options but I’m not unhappy with these. I do want to add the AAL or a 63 swap at some point.

Right on. Appreciate the additional feedback. Think I’ll see what it’s like with the standards then see where I’m at.

If you come across any other pics, feel fee to share.
