I have some bad news for you.

The 2003 and 2004 5VZ-FE v6 uses the ETCS-I electronic throttle system, which is unique to those two years and does not have a mechanical kickdown cable. I believe the 2RZ and 3RZ don't utilize the ETCS-I system, so your A340E 2WD transmission will have the mechanical kickdown cable. Don't quote me on this, @mechanicjon can confirm.

Unfortunately, your only option is to swap the valve bodies, or swap the output shafts. Both of which are rather difficult, but swapping the valve body is a tad easier.

Additionally, the bellhousing on the 5VZ-FE is different than the bellhousing on the 3RZ-FE. In terms of gear ratio, make sure the donor differentials are the same ratio; or just swap the front and rear from the donor truck to avoid any problems.

Your donor truck will be using A.D.D, and I believe the pushbutton transfer case. This is significantly more difficult to hook up over the earlier style J-Shift manual transfer case, and simple manual hubs. The pushbutton transfer case requires wiring up the actuator, and control system as well as you'll need to wire up the A.D.D. actuator on the jackshaft of your front differential.

In my opinion, it's a LOT more work to use the donor truck parts over finding a j-shift transfer case and a truck with manual hub steering knuckles. Sure, you can hook all the donor truck stuff up to your truck; but that means wiring for days. There's a reason why no one bothers hooking up a pushbutton transfer case, it's too much hassle. Hooking up the front differential A.D.D. system is a bit easier, just need a relay or two.

The v6 and I4 Auto transmissions are identical. It’s the bellhousing that are different, and you can reuse your old one.

The issue here is 2003/2004 v6 transmissions are electronic, while all 1995-2004 I4 transmissions are mechanical kickdown.

The auto 4x4 transmission is always the A340F. It’s just they have slight differences over the years.

4cyl's don't use the electronic throttle body only v6. @BartMaster1234 is correct on the transmission. The v6 2003-2004 transmissions have the electronic valve body. The valve body can be swap over from a non-electronic one into a electronic one. Thus making it a non-electronic transmission. A non-electronic one has the kickdown cable.

Thy not fix the 4dr v6 one up? It has a higher value then an extra cab.
