I searched and the only difference I see is that the 3423040 is textured.

    Am I correct or incorrect?

Besides the paint it looks like the 3423020 has recessed turn indicators.

Whereas the 3423040 is the more conventional model like my 2005 ARB

    Hope this answers your question...

Did you find anymore info on the difference between these bumpers? I'm thinking about buying the 3423040.

The picture you're seeing isn't a 1st gen, it's a 2nd gen which is why it has the fog lights next to the turn signals. 1st gens never came with fog lights. Also a smittybuilt winch will fit in the ARB, I have a XRC 9.5 in mine. You will have to re-clock both the motor and gearbox though in order to get the wiring lugs to face the correct direction and be able to access the clutch lever.

This 1st gen has the 3423020 ARB bumper with the recessed lights. I think that and the textured paint is the only difference between the 2 bumpers.

I think you’re going to be a bit disappointed if you order that bumper expecting the recessed fog lights. It looks like they installed the kit from the 2nd gen in that particular photo. Why not just call ARB?

The only difference between the 20 and the 40 is the paint. The 40 has the “Integrit Black Textured Powder Coat” and the 20 has the “Satin Black Powder Coat”. The 20 is paintable (if you wanted to match your vehicle’s color). The 40 isn’t meant to be painted. So get the 40 if you want black and the 20 if you plan to have it painted.
