Rear differential gear oil quantity, buy 3 or 4 qts?

    I know the specs call for a little over 3 qts. Will it actually take that or is 3 enough?

    If you add up all the quantities of the diffs and transfer case it just about adds up to a whole number. I'd just plan to do them all at the same time.

    Buy 4 quarts. By the time you’re toward the bottom of the bottle, you won’t be able to squeeze or pump the rest of the oil into the diff. Then once you’re all done, combine all the remaining oil you couldn’t squeeze out of the bottles and you’ll only have to buy 3 new quarts next time you do:thumbsup:
