What about a wide angle mirror for the rear view, along with the set up linked? I used to have that on my corolla and didnt have any blind spots.

    Thanks

It Doesnt have a bsm version (for the rav it was either this version or similar to what you have now).

check out spottermirror for a similar style with bsm. Personally I like the spotter mirror better because of the little blind spot mirrors location is situated to allow rear wheel/lane view as well

Thanks. I just put the Rav4 Mirror on my 4Runner and for the price and oem it was great. Too bad there isn't one for my Tacoma with a BSM.

Put on a set of these RAV mirrors today. Definitely a pain. Decided to pull the mirror covers (pretty easy) and put a pry tool by the clips because the mirror seemed like it was on the verge of breaking when I was pulling on it. The thing that gave me the biggest trouble though was the heater wires. They were really on there! Had to use a pair of pliers to loosen the contacts so they would come off. On that note, is there a right or wrong way to put the heater wires back on? Because the stock config is up and down, and the RAV mirrors are left and right. They're both black with no real markings so I figured it didn't make a difference. Mirrors seem to heat, but i just wanted to make sure there wasn't a polarity or something.

I do like they way they came out though.

No right way there isn’t a polarity. Post a pic of the mirror I’ve been considering swapping mirrors but I really don’t know why I would need them for

Thanks! I'll snap some when i take a drive later. For me, i've been accustomed to blind-spot nanny lights on most of my previous vehicles and i about merged into someone the other day because i got out of the habit veering over my shoulder all the time. I think these'll help with the quick-glance to the mirrors before merging.

It was a true pain in the rear removing the mirrors and much more removing the heater wires. I don't think there is a better way of doing the job. After accomplishing the whole job a while back, I wasn't impressed with the results. I feel like the aftermarket rounded ones I've used in previous cars worked a lot better and gave me more surround visibility. They are glass with aluminum frame and doesn't stick out like some other brands with the plastic frame etc.

What year rav4? I have a 2019 tacoma want to make sure I order the correct ones. I ordered some from tacoma lifestyle paid around $180 for both since I found this page. I'm going to cancel my order and hopefully get these for half the price!

Anyone get these to work with the BSM? Or any chance a newer Rav4 Mirror has the function?
