It's totally up to you what you decide to do. If you're not familiar with them be sure take it on a good test drive. They may be OK for fun but no comfortable ride and hi brake and suspension maintenance. I would luv to have an 40-50 Willy's though.

I had a 2010 jk rubicon it was fun i do miss the stick shift. But seriously that thing was unstoppable off road. Better times now its hard to give up a pickup truck. If I ever get another jeep its going to be a cj5 love those old jeeps

Lots of folks in my group have been buying JK's. All depends on what you want to use it for. We be getting old and many like the creature comforts of the high end Rubicons. They seem to do pretty good on the road and are better than the Taco in the rocks...then again, we just did the 50 mile run down the dirt track to the hole in the rock in Utah...JK's doing 40, Taco Pro 60-70. All depends on the type of "Fun" you partake in. I cheat as I have a built 85 mini for the nasty stuff and the Pro for the Desert.

Had a 02 wrangler TJ. LOVED it, lots of great memories, never had an issue with it(that I didn't cause).. Family grew so I looked at a few JKUs, next day bought a Tacoma... The newer Jeeps just didn't impress me or did they scream quality, especially for the $$$!

I’d stick with the tacoma. I think any Chrysler vehicles have reliability issues. Never owned one but I have a take home/assigned vehicle for my job and thru the years I’ve had 3 Chrysler vehicles, a Dodge and two Jeeps, and they were garbage. The others were Chevy impalas, no fan of Chevy, but I thought the impalas were good vehicles. Just my two cents.
