    Hello~

I've been doing my research on aftermarket suspension and still cant decide if it is worth the upgrade or no... I've narrowed it down to OME BP51' complete lift kits.

What i plan on doing with the rig
    - Towing a teardrop trailer
    - moderate off roading to find those good camp spots. (with my off-road teardrop)
    - if not camping its an everyday driver

My question is.. Is my stock 2017 off-road suspension good enough? or with some weight behind it is it worth the investment. . .

    Thanks for your time!

I’m saving my pennies for Bilstein 6112 up front and 5160 in back. I believe for my use similar to yours that will get me down the road for a real long time.

If your trailer can make it through the trails, surely your off-road truck can pull it.

2k pounds is not really enough that you should worry about it. If you want a lift kit anyways and are just looking for justification then go for it. But in terms of need for your usecase probably not. You may want to add a leaf to the rear to help with sagging depending on tongue weight, but that's a pretty cheap upgrade.

To put it more simply, if your truck right now can do everything you want, it'll do everything you want still with a small trailer behind it. The cost of a set of BP51s buys a lot of gas for adventures after all.

I think a good set of tires will get you further than the lift

I appreciate the reply. You are very right! That will get me a lot of gas.
