Im fine with stunting etc, closed off road, big parking lot etc. But having bailed from many a group ride due to asshats like this causing a scene on open public roads (let alone feeling like someone is going to come and blast me from behind cus they cant see). Zero respect.

it is a lawless activity, there is no denying the flagrant violations of traffic laws that these characters take part in

i for one am just fascinating by the spectacle of it all, its hard to understand things sometimes without having lived it first hand

sideshowing is just a part of motorsports culture, always has been and always will be... dare i say the heart root of the culture :bikewhoops:

The craziest thing happened today. I went for a cruise up PCH, which was a mistake because everyone is in fucking HB right now. Was lane splitting the 10 miles each way so I could actually go somewhere, and here’s the crazy part. The vast majority of people actually moved over for me while splitting. I could not believe it.

Dunno. I certainly gave the throttle a little goosing between some cars but even when I didn’t a lot of people moved over slightly in advance. It was just weird lol

    Loud pipes save lives dude.

On my FZ09 my exhaust was so deep and aggressive that people would move 4-5 cars up ahead of me because they heard me coming.

I've had these same mufflers on for a month or two now but this is the first time I've noticed the majority of people actually move. Before a few people would shift over but today I'd say 75% of the cars paid attention and moved compared to the usual 25%

Would I even be a real rider if I didn't have my monster shirt on?

I've got about 5 years riding in CA, and had very few problems with people trying to block me while splitting. It's whatever, they are not required to leave room for me.

I went riding today on my Himalayan. While sitting at a light a guy on a fully dress HD pulls up beside me, and says "that's a good looking bike, what is it?" He seemed genuine, not snarky.
