When I got my kit installed I was warned that although them's great shocks and springs any kind of shock without a reservoir will overheat when driven on washboard roads too fast for too long.

For the Eibachs, I was given a rule of thumb that driving on a road that makes you feel like your teeth fillings will come loose and your eye sockets are going to get damaged a 30/30 rule is a good estimate (30 min at 30 mph.) before they will overheat. The guy who installed my kit also said that I would probably want to stop or slow down way before the shocks reach their limits, because they generally are tougher than the human mind. He was not so sure about the stock setup (allegedly Bilstein 4600 on the TRD OR).

I have not yet, but very probably will within the next few years, if not earlier, get myself and my truck into such a teeth-rattling situation.

So do you folks have anything to comment on how the Eibach Pro Lift Kit will handle extended washboard driving? I'm thinking North & Eastern Nevada, Death Valley etc.

I could of course call Eibach, but I want to know the opinion of people other than the manufacture's!

Any shock, even with a reservoir will over heat.
Good to run for 15 to 30 minutes on rough trails/roads and then stop for 15 to 30 to let them cool down.
The bigger the diammeter the shock, the more oil it can hold and the longer it can go.

So you agree with that rule? I am specifically asking about roads that you could potentially drive fast on and the Eibachs.

Yes I agree with that rule. Even ones you can drive fast on.... fireroads/ long dirt stretches, you are going to bounce and turn. Typically 45 minutes to an hour is max when traveling above 30.
