PVC Valve broke off during installation

    Didnt think I tightened that dang thing that much.

    First and 2nd pictures are the broken valve, 3rd is the unbroken valve. 4th picture is the installation, area tight as hell.

    Any suggestion getting the old thread stem out? Need something to grab it from the inside of the threaded stem

    If the threads are broken off inside the housing, you will have to get an easyout to back it out and reinstall the old one until you get another new one.

    those aren't in there too tight might be able to stick your pinky in the hole and twist it out

    Thanks all, got it out. Stuck a small serated knife inside the threaded stem to loosen. Was able to loosen by hand after that. Phew!

    Just out of curiosity I looked up the TQ specs.

    44 INCH- Lbs for the 2.7

    20 FT/LB for the 4.0

    That’s is a BIG difference.
