If prior smoker owner is the issue I would assume there is more than just a smelly seat (e.g., headliner and carpet). Yes, you can take out the rear seats, fairly DIY easy. Replace with a junk yard find. Maybe find one online. Matching the rest truck interior may be an issue. There are aftermarket seat covers. Do you like camo?

Suggest removing only the seat to determine it is the single source of offending odor. Have you tried a DIY wet-dry vac clean?

Welcome to the TW, try a good cleaning with Pinesol, then leave it open to air out.

I’m sorry but you’re never going to get the stink 100% out. It’s in the vinyl, vents, carpet, wires, and everywhere. You can reduce the smell by taking it to a detail shop that uses an ozone generator running for a day. Live and learn. I would treat a smokers car like a flood damaged car - never buy one except for parts.

Yes it's fairly easy to remove the seat. IIRC it's 9 bolts and a couple electrical plugs. Good luck, and welcome to TW. :)

Not sure if you'll ever get all of the smell out, but recommend trying to clean everything possible in the interior. Pull the seat & have it cleaned or replaced. Pull the carpet & have it shampooed. Wash everything inside! Also see if you can find a way to clean the car's duct work. Replace the cabin filter with something like Fram's "Fresh Breeze" filter. That's not the only activated charcoal filter out there so you have plenty of choices.

At the very least you'll knock the smell down significantly...hopefully to something you can live with.

    Good luck!
