Eh I am hippo sized so it’s all good.

You need to use your crockpot more let it cook while y’all are working

Too scary to me to be gone all day with a crock pot on. I'm always scared of a fire. I had one like 4 or 5 years ago I think in my old life and it was horrible and we were home! Im sure there's little risk but still worries me...

 

Bad but addicting, I think they cover them in crack lol

 

That's the only benefit, I am still kidnappable though

 

But yes, I do... I need one if those air fryers someday too. Would make life a lot easier I think if they're as good as I hear

As sample part... to see how the HF matte black powder matches the roof rack bars.



Got bored today, so the cheap thrift store toaster oven got a little attention.



The controls, and the convection fan are coming out.



Rewired the elements and covered connections with some.kapton tape and covered the holes from the fan with some.high temp foil tape



Insulated the 3 sides with some rockwool. To help hold temperature. Back and bottom are single.wall..



Gets warm pretty quick with out the built in thermal control.

Since all the controls where removed, a better solution to control the temperature is needed.

So, waiting on 1 more part, and I can put the stand alone PID controller together



Went with a stand alone controller, because I look at this little toaster oven as temporary solution and this way the controller box can be reused for something else.

 

Very cool. Our powder coating oven started life as a commercial fridge.
